Local Poke | Our Story

Fresh Fish, Inspired by Hawaiian traditions

Local Poké is a fast-casual poke spot founded by two friends with a simple vision: bring classic Hawaiian poke to the mainland, with a modern twist. Everything starts with the fish. We serve the freshest sushi-grade fish possible, prepped daily, and build our menu around fully customizable bowls. You pick the base, the protein, and the toppings, and we load them in with a generous hand. AAA Ahi tuna and sushi-grade Salmon bowls are the heart of our menu, alongside our famous Poke Nachos, piled high on daily-prepped wonton chips. However you build it, it starts with sushi-grade fish and ends exactly the way you want it.
Started on Washington Avenue

Started on Washington Avenue

Local Poke was born on Washington Avenue by people who were inspired by the real thing and decided to make it themselves. The counter, the generous portions, the welcome — same from day one.
Sushi-grade, every single day

Sushi-grade, every single day

We use sushi-grade Tuna and Salmon, prepped fresh daily — not a marketing line, just what the fish requires. If it doesn't meet the standard, it doesn't go in the bowl.
Your bowl, your call

Your bowl, your call

Pick your base, your protein, your mix-ins, your sauce — the bowl is yours to build, not ours to script. Avocado comes standard, no upcharge, because it should.
Beyond the bowl

Beyond the bowl

Poke Nachos — sushi-grade fish over daily-made Wonton Chips — sit alongside Spam Musubi and Sushi Bake: real comfort food, not an afterthought.

The same ethos that launched us on Washington Ave now runs in Pleasanton, California — same fish standard, same generous portions, same welcome. Wherever we open, nothing changes.
